Today, Blasts in a Shi'a neighborhood marks the year's deadliest day for Baghdad after four separate car bombings claimed at least 88 lives and wounded hundred others. Most of the victims of the attack were women.
Both ISIL and ISIS claimed responsibility for all of today's attacks. The terrorist acts perpetrated by these extremists are despicable and unacceptable. The Almighty God has said in the Holy Qur’an, “That whoever kills a soul – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves a life – it is as if he had saved the entire mankind.” [5:32]
Al-Ghadeer Benevolent Foundation of North Bergen, NJ strongly condemns the barbaric killings by the ISIS extremists who attacked and killed the innocent civilians in Baghdad. These and other extremists who belong to various groups that claim to be Muslims are in fact misrepresenting the religion of Islam. Their actions have no place in Islam and are contradictory to the teachings of Islam.
The community of Al-Ghadeer Benevolent Foundation condemns all sorts of violent acts, which must not be tolerated. Al-Ghadeer Islamic Center stands in solidarity with the families in Baghdad who have lost their loved ones during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
